Review | Metha – Legacy EP [BM002] | Be Massive Records

alpha3

After the first EP from Metha on Be Massive Records, I was curious about his new release. Legacy goes on the same path, just like the “Alpha” EP. Comparing with the previous release, this have more a deeper feeling, maybe I’m wrong, but it sounds more personal. Just like a reflection of memories. Elegant and moody atmosphere, with a high quality build up, underlined by a strong bass and synth lines. Its easy to notice for me that this production was made with a lot of passion and attention. Every detail is elaborated with precision. Its clear that Metha has a clear vision about what he would like to represent through his music, its not about to make experiments on which sound fits best for him. Conscious and precise producer work we all can hear.

The second track on the EP is a remix from Dave Wincent. Mainly its more focused on dance floor oriented sound, while still keeping the original atmosphere. Dave Wincent was an excellent choice, because it sounds like Dave Wincent and Metha are thinking in similar ways, which is why Wincent was able to bring out another aspect of the track.
